Phlebotomy: Traditional Course

This course provides phlebotomy instruction to the student with a working knowledge of collecting blood and other specimens with emphasis on patient safety, quality assurance and universal and standard precautions. This course utilizes a lecture, clinical laboratory, and demonstrated methodology and prepares students for the American Certification Agency (ACA) certification exam, which is given at PTWE once a month. After the successful completion of this 12-week course, (100 clinical hours, 100 successful venipunctures and 10 successful dermal punctures). The 2 hour examination will be online plus phlebotomy practical, students will receive a certificate of completion from PTWE, needed to take the national certification exam given by the ACA.

*Must have proof of BLS/CPR Certification before Certificate of Completion will be issued.

Phlebotomy: Two-Day Refresher Course

We are also offering a 2 day refresher course for phlebotomy!

This is only available for students that have already completed a phlebotomy class or let their certification lapse within the last 2 years.

*Must provide proof of class completion or lapsed certification.
